Winter is coming… This will be our final product update of 2022, so we wanted to take a quick moment to reflect. What a year it’s been!
Twelve short months ago we were a small team, setting off on a mission to build the all-in-one platform for API businesses. Last winter we went through Y Combinator, came out of stealth mode, and brought Kable to market. In spring we raised a round of funding from amazing investors and began to scale. It’s been a rocket ship since then, and we couldn’t be prouder. So as we close out 2022, we want to say thank you – we’re excited to continue building together next year.
But before we close out 2022, we’ve got some major announcements – let’s jump in!
In the spirit of the end of the year, we figured an homage to annual celebrations was in order. And so today we introduce annual subscription plans on Kable!
This feature is pretty self-explanatory, so we won’t belabor the details here. But for those looking for longer-term contracts, or prepaid credits for a longer period of time, annual subscriptions are for you.
One of the most-requested features of the last few weeks: the Kable Test environment is now fully-integrated with the test environment in Stripe.
Kable and Stripe form a powerful duo within your business stack. Stripe is the leading online payments platform, and with Kable, businesses get all of the benefits of Stripe payments with all the flexibility and power of Kable billing. Today we announce new Test Environment integrations between Kable and Stripe.
Customers in the Kable Test environment can now be linked to customers in the Stripe Test environment. This Test environment integration allows you to test credit card management and payment flows end-to-end, all the way through payment confirmation within Stripe.
This month we also introduce new invoice APIs to allow you to fetch and download customer invoices or render billing history within your customer portal. For self-service APIs and products with rich customer portals, this release goes a long way to providing billing transparency for your customers.
This release coincides with an invoice overhaul, through which you can now add additional data to customer invoices. And if there are additional configurations or invoice enhancements you’d like to see, don’t hesitate to ask!
